Requirements
- 12+ years of experience working in media relations, communications, public relations or public affairs with a proven record of success.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Effective interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- Proven expertise in managing social media accounts.
- Experience leading external agencies.
- Demonstrated knowledge in developing, deploying and activating media & communication campaigns with measurable business impact.
- Demonstrated knowledge in developing strategic and tactical communication plans.
- Extremely strong written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail.
- Must be a creative and strategic thinker with good judgment and ability to make independent decisions in a changing environment.
- Consummate team player with a great attitude who is happy to assist with all projects.
- Strong discretion and integrity handling confidential information.
- Must move projects to timely completion working with multiple busy executives with competing priorities.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills, including ability to multi-task, continually re-prioritize, and self-manage deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall goals and objectives across Product, B2B, and Policy Comms.
- Build and execute a strategic and proactive PR program. Manage media inquiries, develop and implement media strategies, and cultivate relationships with journalists and other media contacts.
- Align PR strategies with business milestones and work in close partnership with internal stakeholders to ensure timelines and deliverables meet the needs of the business.
- Support EarnIn’s top of funnel marketing initiatives across PR, social, influencer, grassroots partnerships events, community management, etc.
- Work with internal partners as a thought leader and expert on internal communication strategies.
- Manage and mentor team members (currently 1).
- Work with and manage external agencies and resources.
- Work closely with the social marketing team to ensure brand and messaging alignment.
- Partner with the government relations team to support policy communications and advocacy efforts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in public policy, political engagement, and/or corporate and private foundations is a plus.
- Prior Fintech preferred; agency, brand or consultancy is relevant.
