Requirements

  • Technical depth, including drug substance, drug product, and understanding of materials characteristics

  • BS in Life Science or Engineering discipline required, MS or Ph.D. preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in CDMO/CMO Commercial Operations

Responsibilities

  • Directs daily operations at Serán’s Commercial Manufacturing Facility
  • Ensures client projects are delivered on-time and executed to full compliance with global regulatory requirements and client agreements
  • Manages the introduction of new commercial projects
  • Acts as commercial representative for key customer relationships
  • Leads execution of the commercial and business strategy in development and manufacturing
  • Provides commercial input for facility and capital improvements, including the construction of a greenfield commercial facility
  • Ensures that the health, safety, and environmental impact policies of the Serán sites are being successfully implemented
  • Provides strategic input to support business model and company growth
  • Supports customer site visits to facilitate onboarding of new customers and to maintain strong customer relationships
  • Develops and implements metrics for consistent improvement of Commercial Operations and compliance
  • Optimizes processes to reduce manufacturing costs and maximize cGMP production throughput
  • Represents commercial team during budget planning meetings
  • Responsible for management of pipeline / portfolio and delivery of products
  • Manages the manufacturing operations technical team and production teams
  • Meets frequently with quality, project management, and executive management teams
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preference given to those with direct experience in development and manufacturing of spray drying technologies
  • Extensive knowledge of multiple technologies (Drug Substance, Drug Product, Development, and manufacturing service lines)
