Requirements

  • A highly credible Claims leader
  • Experience of building and executing strategic plans to develop a Claims organization
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing claims portfolios across multiple lines of business
  • Exceptional oral and written communication, with the ability to provide concise executive summaries to senior management
  • Highly collaborative and able to work effectively across the organisation as well as with external stakeholders

  • A degree educated professional, preferably with Insurance or other qualifications relevant to the role

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing and building Claims teams and competencies across multiple product lines

Responsibilities

  • Leadership of Claims within LatAm
  • Provision of claims management services within LatAm
  • Develop and execute strategies to ensure that the LatAm Claims function meets business targets and plans
  • Contribute to the development of Global Claims Strategy
  • Personal oversight of large and complex losses and systemic claims issues
  • Partner with Regional and Product leadership to ensure effective communication and integration of Claims capabilities and insights to drive business plans and outcomes
  • Lead, build and manage Claims teams which will enhance the delivery of strategic goals
  • Market facing role, promoting Everest brand and capabilities within LatAm
  • Business development and execution of annual business planning
  • Provide services and Claims solutions to support client’s most complex risks and challenges
  • Broker and customer relationship management for LatAm to support the retention and acquisition of business
  • Provide management and oversight of LatAm Claims working closely with the Global Head of Claims and central Claims support functions
  • Ensure that team performance meets or exceeds corporate standards and customer needs
  • Ensure the capture, creation and analysis of data to ensure that claims performance and trends are understood and effectively communicated to all stakeholders
  • Effective management of expenses to ensure that Everest maintains its competitive advantage
  • Creation of annual Claims budget and forecast based on claim forecasts and staffing models
  • Monitor, report, and analyse Claims performance against plan / budget / forecast
  • Carry out Claim Quality Assurance processes as necessary to ensure policies and procedures are being followed
  • Manage the performance of TPAs and panel service providers and ensure that an audit strategy is in place and executed for service providers
  • Ensure all claims handlers are operating within their authorities
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and controls to meet all regulatory and corporate governance requirements, whether internal or external
