Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent in Engineering or STEM
  • Prior experience or knowledge of AI/ML
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong communicator who can promote a compelling vision, with well-established credibility and trust with stakeholders
  • Demonstrates superior interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills
  • Management consulting background with an ability to lead both strategically and operationally using an enterprise lens
  • Strong ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Skilled in influencing peers and senior leaders, building consensus amidst ambiguity, making well-informed decisions, and delegating when necessary
  • Highly effective in navigating and thriving within ambiguous, complex environments, using results-driven approach

Responsibilities

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance and compensation decisions, promoting teamwork
  • Nurtures a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement to scale AI delivery and unlock business value
  • Responsible for strategy, AI partnerships, business planning, end-to-end business operations for the AI/ML center of excellence, and adoption of AI best practices across the organization
  • Leads mobilization of the AI target operating model, including development of Enterprise AI strategy and update of AI house view
  • Actively monitors external landscape, keeping abreast of emerging trends, sharing developments and insights with senior executive audience, and ensuring AI CoE’s priorities appropriately reflect changes in the AI landscape
  • Leads Gen AI use case pipeline development in collaboration with AI2 Analytics Engagement Leads, developing segment specific strategies, and identifying opportunities for value creation. Interlocks with key business, platform, risk, and CoE partners for use case prioritization and capacity planning in preparation for delivery
  • Develops, grows, and manages external partner relationships to complement and support CoE priorities
  • Leads business management and day 2 operations for AI CoE, including model monitoring and KPI reporting
  • Contribute to TD’s internal and external communications on AI (conferences, press releases, regulatory updates etc.)
  • Ensures an adherence to Bank’s risk culture
