Requirements
- Bachelors degree or above in electrical engineering or embedded systems
- At least five (5) years experience in hardware development
- At least three (3) years of experience in power circuits
- Hands-on experience with bring-up and troubleshooting of boards and systems for some or all of the following: BLE, Wi-Fi, power management, power conversion, I2C, SPI, JTAG, UART, USB, battery charging
- Familiar with RF concepts
- Experience in scripting for bring up capability in embedded C, python or any other embedded language
- Familiar with electronics design experience in embedded electronics, MCUs, and peripherals
- Familiar with the hardware design process, from concept through board development and system integration for production
- Takes great pride and ownership in developing products
- Proficient communicator with strong organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Hands-on contributions to Reach’s technology investigation and development
- Build proofs of concepts for systems that will be integrated into future generations of products
- Perform schematic capture and PCB layout design
- Board bring-up
- Write bring-up code, and collaborate closely with firmware engineers
- Actively contribute to Reach’s hardware team development cycle, from concept proofing to product release
- Collaborate with project management and other engineers to plan efforts and establish timelines for projects
- Support test plan writing and field testing
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with RF applications and collaborating with RF / antenna engineers
- Experience working at a start-up or with a small, intimate team
