Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or ‘STEM’ Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Hardware Asset Management
- Able to hold and maintain active US DOD ‘Top Secret’ Security Clearance
- This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens
- GE will require proof of status prior to employment
Responsibilities
- Maintain integrity of all hardware-related data in the repository
- Perform reconciliation between asset records with other relevant data sources; investigate and resolve exceptions
- Solid understanding of the data associated with hardware records and the normalizing of raw hardware inventory data
- Maintain Hardware Models and Lifecycles
- Create Hardware Installation Records and Normalize Discovery Models
- Perform Hardware Reconciliation
- Optimize EUC Hardware Installations
- Manage hardware renewal calendar
- Serve as the main point of contact for on-premise Data Center activities
- Coordinate and oversee operational efforts related to hardware assets within the Data Center
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) standards
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure optimal Data Center performance
- Communicate and train stakeholders on process
- Participate in hardware audit response efforts
- Provide hardware data for defense during compliance audits
- Research industry best practices and compare against organization’s practices to establish benchmarks for managing IT assets
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong familiarity and technical competence with asset management hardware inventory-tracking systems, such as Flexera, and ServiceNow
- Strong understanding of HAM policies, processes, metrics, and configuration, including integration with other modules like CMDB, SCCM, IBM BigFix, ServiceNow discovery, and contract management
- Knowledge of hardware asset management policies, processes, metrics, and their implementation across an organization
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices
- Experience in Data Center operations and management
- Experience in implementing cross-functional projects and processes through collaboration
- Ability to define and document process flows, work instructions, and training material
- Familiarity with GE Aerospace’s proprietary lean operating model, FLIGHT DECK
- Possesses excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical audiences
- Strong analytical skills: strong problem-solving skills; communicates in a clear and succinct manner
- Ability to work independently and direct groups of contractors
