Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in disability underwriting or a similar analytical role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform complex calculations and analyze detailed data
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Underwrite moderately complex group cases
- Analyze group performance, financials, and occupation mix to assess risk
- Apply underwriting guidelines and state insurance laws to develop offers
- Collaborate with Account Managers, Sales Partners, and Implementation teams
- Participate in renewals and make recommendations for process improvements
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field
