Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as an Interconnection Manager or Engineer within the renewable energy industry, a utility, or an RTO/ISO.
  • BS in Engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • In-depth knowledge of interconnection procedures at utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and transmission providers.
  • Ability to interpret complex interconnection study reports and communicate project impacts.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with external and internal customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Transmission & Interconnection, Commissioning, and Safety teams. Direct and manage utility and ISO commissioning processes, aligning with project timelines and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage interconnection activities for grid integration and market implementation of Arevon’s renewable projects.
  • Lead negotiations for technical studies, interconnection, and construction agreement execution.
  • Support projects through pre-construction, construction, and commissioning stages of the interconnection process, ensuring alignment with utility and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the scoping and completion of interconnection facilities.
  • Communicate and coordinate with Independent System Operators (ISOs), Regional Transmission Organizations (RTOs), transmission providers, and utilities to ensure interconnections are cost-effective and completed on schedule.
  • Support MOD testing 90 days post-commercial operation date (COD) and every 5–6 years thereafter.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders and oversee consultants responsible for interconnection applications, modeling, and studies.
  • Support engineering and project development teams through design, construction, and commissioning deliverables.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and policy developments at ISOs and RTOs.
  • Develop new methodologies, tools, and procedures to enhance project lifecycle efficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Real-time operations experience.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with PSSE/PSLF software.
