Requirements
- Experience in policy development and strategy on a global scale
- Knowledge of international legal standards (e.g., US law, GDPR, OSA, DSA)
- Ability to monitor global regulatory trends
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with product, legal, engineering, and operations teams
- Experience in policy enforcement and consistency across platforms
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and refinement of global platform and product policies
- Ensure alignment with international legal standards and industry best practices
- Monitor global regulatory trends to identify emerging risks and opportunities
- Anticipate emerging policy challenges and mitigate risks
- Co-lead and develop cross-functional programs critical to enhancing Nextdoor neighborhoods
- Partner with cross-functional teams to shape the platform’s policy roadmap
- Oversee the implementation of policies across the platform
- Respond to escalations from Trust & Safety and Customer Success teams
- Collaborate with Trust & Safety and Customer Success teams to monitor policy effectiveness
- Participate in in-person Nextdoor events such as trainings and team building exercises
