Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 4 years of relevant experience required.
Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, administer and ensure operational excellence for assigned portfolio of global education programs.
- Research and negotiate prices with providers and host institutions, develop managerial budgets for assigned programs, and manage complex programmatic and fiscal arrangements with providers, host institutions and faculty directors.
- Guide and communicate workflows, approval processes, fiscal procedures, and health and safety expectations to college global education liaisons, chairs, faculty and support units.
- Create and deliver specialized pre-and post-travel orientations and programming to support student outcomes. Evaluate global education programs and recommend modifications to improve program content, effectiveness and student success in consultation with relevant faculty and academic units.
- Develop and lead strategic outreach and recruitment for assigned portfolio.
- In consultation with college global education liaisons, chairs and faculty, develop and execute action plans for increasing underrepresented student participation in assigned programs.
- Interpret office policies, procedures and services to students, parents, college offices, faculty and staff.
- Deliver professional presentations on academic international opportunities to prospective, First-Year Experience, Second-Year Transformational Experience Program, Honors and Scholars and other student audiences, academic units and student support offices.
- Provide expert advising, coaching and guidance as appropriate to prospective global education students on global education opportunities and scholarships.
- Research, benchmark and follow national and international literature, methods and trends on global education best practices, access and affordability and impact of global education on career outcomes.
- Contribute to global education knowledge base on accessible and affordable programming and opportunities in all regions of the world. Research and develop on-line resources to support faculty and student success in global education.
- Coordinate and participate in meetings with Ohio State college global education liaisons, faculty and chairs to address questions and provide expert advice on new program development, global education needs assessment, health and safety considerations, best practices and OIA resources. Represent OIA Global Education team at college and campus wide events and other venues.
- Serve on the OIA Global Education team; serve as back-up first responded as needed; other duties as assigned.
