Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent
- Three (3) credit hours at an accredited university, college or junior college in CAD (Computer Aided Drafting/Design) or GIS (Geographic Information System) related course with a minimum grade level of ‘C’
- One (1) year drafting experience within the Company; or two (2) years outside the Company in CAD or GIS related work
- Pass the Company’s EEI Technical Aptitude Test
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Perform all levels of drafting work to create, update and maintain identified maps and drawings
- Draw and maintain overhead and underground maps and diagrams, with computer or, when necessary, by hand
- Review and interpret field plats, operating notes, electronic files, data and/or other construction reporting methods at a low to intermediate level of complexity
- Receive, review and, when necessary, correct electronic information (facility maps, data) received and post electronic information into system(s)
- Perform field inspections, when requested, to resolve discrepancies in maps and drawings, and/or to obtain additional information
- Field checking/inspection during emergency storm restoration events
- Create, maintain and prepare special maps, drawings or reports when requested
- Maintain and update information transformer load information
