Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 plus years of experience
- Industry and or product knowledge in product categories specification processing and competitive set
- Food Service experience preferred
- Standard computer skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Understanding of the economics around protein markets as it would relate to pricing and volume opportunities
- Travel: 50%
Responsibilities
- Working predominately with Food Service Distribution Sales and/or customers to sell a full range of Tyson poultry and prepared products
- Facilitation of all activities necessary to achieve sales and profit objectives for assigned categories within the Distribution sales channel
- Working with the Business Units to execute pricing and margin strategies
- Creating strategic plans for assigned Gordon Food Service divisions including contract renewals, new business opportunities, and annual volume and profit goals
- Developing quarterly sales presentations and annual and quarterly sales volume plans
- Serving as communication liaison between Business Units sales and customers
- Supporting new business or existing account penetration across assigned categories
- Understanding the competitive set and market place position of product offerings
- Assisting Demand Planning with working with sales team and customers to improve forecast accuracy
- Working with Sales Team Business Unit and customer to implement solutions and drive marketplace change process technology and other product related areas
- Leading cross functional teams in implementation of initiatives to improve go-to-market strategies and processes
- Directing Tyson resources through the implementation or manufacturing of a newly developed product or change to existing item
- Assisting the margin managers in SKU rationalization and communicating excess line time and or excess raw material to the sales team
