Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in driving commercial growth of a business. Any experience in marketing, business development, and/or P&L management is a plus
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams, capable of overseeing multiple people across different functions and levels of seniority
- Comfortable working heavily with data, and operating at a fast pace in an entrepreneurial environment. Experience working in a startup is a plus, especially a marketplace platform
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills, and comfortable presenting to large groups regularly
- An exceptional ability to balance creative thinking with strong business judgment and analytical skills
- Problem-solving abilities in both data-rich and data-poor environments; ability to both delve into the details and engage meaningfully on higher-level strategy
- A natural inclination to take initiative and ownership, with the ability to independently navigate ambiguous situations and balance multiple priorities
- Role includes some travel within Canada and occasional travel to the United States
Responsibilities
- P&L responsibility for the Canada business
- Set the vision for the Canada team that covers marketing, partnerships, supply, and fulfilment
- Accountable for both sides of the marketplace: generating demand as well as ensuring strong supply health and task fulfilment
- Responsible for value propositions on both sides of the marketplace
- Shape the Canada strategy to deliver core commercial goals including revenue and contribution margin
- Oversee all tactical and operational execution for all functions within Canada
- Own market expansion and localization strategy, including the development of city-specific go-to-market strategies and localization of Taskrabbit’s offering
- Drive local/cultural marketing ideas, initiatives, and channels to increase brand awareness, in partnership with marketing
- Identify and pursue potential external partners to help grow the Canadian business, in collaboration with the global partnerships team
- Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to action on key market opportunities
- Manage on-the-ground initiatives that optimise and improve local fulfilment, supply activation, and client retention
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual French and English
- An understanding of the dynamics underlying a two-sided marketplace
- Experience working for a global brand
