Requirements

  • Intention to see the GMDP through to completion (complete all 3 rotations and all required curriculum)
  • Anticipated completion of bachelor’s degree program by start date (June 2025) or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists in managing the daily operations of the General Management Development Program (GMDP) program, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and institutional policies
  • Coordinates with program directors and selection committees to ensure a fair and transparent selection process by reviewing applications, conducting interviews, and assisting in the selection of qualified candidates
  • Implements educational initiatives, mentoring programs, and professional development opportunities for residents
  • Develops and implements the curriculum for the GMDP program by collaborating with program directors, faculty, and other stakeholders to update educational content, including didactic sessions, clinical rotations, and research opportunities
  • Conducts regular assessments of resident performance, including scheduled appointments, milestone assessments, and competency-based evaluations
  • Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the GMDP program
  • Communicates relevant regulatory guidelines and requirements governing GMDP programs by ensuring compliance with rules related to work hours, supervision, and resident eligibility
  • Encourages team members to explore innovative solutions and approaches to operational challenges
  • Identifies opportunities of areas of concern and recommends corrective actions for timely resolution of patient healthcare needs
