General Liability & Property Claim Specialist

Requirements

• 10+ years of multi-line claim experience
• General liability and first-party property claim experience
• Experience handling all bodily injury claims, including fatalities
• Adjuster’s license required (TX or FL preferred)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
• Detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to work independently
• Commitment to confidentiality, discretion, and client service excellence

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and adjust multi-line claims in compliance with claim handling standards and state laws
• Establish and recommend reserves within authority levels
• Review, approve, or oversee medical, legal, damage estimates, and invoices for claim-related expenses
• Negotiate claim settlements following corporate standards, client-specific instructions, and state regulations
• Select, refer, and supervise outside vendors (e.g., legal counsel, surveillance, case management)
• Assess and monitor subrogation claims
• Provide timely and effective communication with clients, claimants, and involved parties
• Prepare notices of qualifying claims for excess/reinsurance carriers
• Ensure compliance with corporate claim handling standards and client-specific instructions
