Requirements

  • Must have a High School degree or GED. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
  • Must have at least 10 years of experience in a refinery, petro-chemical or other related heavy industry.
  • Must have prior leadership experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft: Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery (respirator), be able to physically perform all tasks in the field and take hair drug test and physical.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC Card.

Responsibilities

  • Directly oversee routine maintenance planning and execution activities at Galveston Bay Refinery:
  • Work with Planning Manager(s) to oversee the planning backlog and planner progress, track planning metrics, audit planning quality and correct as necessary, adjust planning resources as needed.
  • Supervise and work closely with the Area Maintenance Coordinators to ensure the routine maintenance schedule is consistently achieved. Provide close oversight and support to the front lines to ensure work is being successfully and efficiently executed.
  • Coordinate with and collaborate with peer Area Team Managers to ensure alignment on priorities, emergent issues, and upcoming objectives.
  • Provide primary leadership presence during emergent issues at the site of responsibility to ensure maintenance resources are consistently and efficiently deployed to support production.
  • Maintain close familiarity with progress of priority RM work to ensure all levels of the organization are appraised of status as needed and adjustments can be made to accommodate changing priorities.
  • Act as the site champion for routine maintenance standard RSP-1400 to ensure compliance and efficiency objectives are met.
  • Maintain a consistent leadership position with regards to overseeing the use and allocation of resources at the site of responsibility. Identify opportunities regarding potential work scope, planning, and execution efficiencies that we are pursuing in order to meet or exceed efficiency and budget objectives.
  • Supervise the planning and execution of MM events and Tank Maintenance
  • Work with the Execution Manager, MM planner/coordinators, and Tank & Programs Manager to ensure long range plans are adequately being developed for MM events and Tank outages.
  • Maintain close familiarity with progress of MM events and Tank work to ensure all levels of the organization are appraised of progress and adjustments can be made to accommodate changing priorities.
  • Manage and oversee the sharing of resources between RM, MM and Tank work to ensure all priority objectives are met.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior refining routine maintenance supervision experience is preferred.
  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field is preferred.
