Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of applicable operating systems (transmission, distribution, storage, etc.), procedures, key PUC/DOT/OSHA/CFR regulations and specific knowledge of the discipline (see experience/education).
  • Exceptional skills in Microsoft software, required compliance and/or tracking systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of excel and reporting systems
  • Advanced analytical, judgement, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, including written/verbal communications, and interpersonal relationships.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in gas operations.
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience and advancing leadership positions.
  • Demonstrated success in leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in systems, operations (or applicable to specific field) management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management or similar required.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and manages operations activities and pipeline facilities to ensure safe, reliable, and regulatory compliant service.
  • Ensures adherence to policies and procedures that maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, contractors, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our product.
  • Direct and manage Operations to meet or exceed the business goals for operational excellence and improved cost control, quality, reliability, safety, and productivity.
  • Create a respectful, goal driven, team environment among the workforce (both union and nonunion) and develop supervisory and technical employees for roles of increasing responsibility and/or technical growth.
  • Direct and ensure that safety, risk management, compliance requirements and customer commitments are incorporated into all department activities.
  • Set operational priorities, administer labor agreements and allocate resources to meet operational and business needs, while ensuring safe, reliable and compliance requirements.
  • Interact regularly with other department leaders, operations related committees, union personnel, customers, vendors, contractors, PUC staff, etc. on an as-needed or scheduled basis.
  • Lead reporting analysis and productivity metrics.
  • Control Capital and O&M budgets maintaining the Company’s gas system while keeping expenditures to an allowable level.
  • Develop initiatives, projects and/or SOPs to maintain and improve the operations in areas of safety, quality, cost reduction, customer service and productivity.
