Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant technical field.
- Experienced project implementation or operational experience, preferably in the utility industry.
- Proficiency with communicating technical concepts and presenting to customers.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills, including ability to make clear observations and conclusions based on customer interviews and data.
- Strong time / project management and organization skills.
- Ability and flexibility to travel to domestic or international locations.
- Ability to remain flexible and effective under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in the operations or engineering group of a gas utility or oil & gas energy provider.
- Experience working with or deploying real-time control systems including SCADA solutions.
- 1+ years of engineering or oil & gas industry operations experience.
- Knowledge of computer architectures, databases, and operating systems.
- Knowledge of IT systems and data center designs.
- Knowledge of oil & gas measurement principles and hydraulics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute system build plans accounting for software architecture, information security, and hardware deployment.
- Work closely with customers to understand their operational needs, provide system training, and configuration to meet their needs.
- Own the technical Professional Services aspects, including implementation of the overall proposed system design, of AspenTech’s products for real-time critical infrastructure control systems.
- Perform system and acceptance testing with the end customers.
- Work closely with product development and product management teams to enhance AspenTech’s products into the future.
- Travel to customer sites and work directly with customers to successfully deliver, test, and integrate systems.
- Represent AspenTech in a superior manner with an excellent attitude.
- Manage assigned projects with care, concern, and diligence.
- Be decisive and innovative when resolving issues.
