Requirements

  • Currently in school graduating with a future date, or graduation year no earlier than 2024
  • Bachelor’s degree or above (Game Design, Digital Media, Computer Science preferred)
  • Familiarity with enemy design conventions in mainstream genres (ARPG/ACT/etc.), with ability to analyze 3+ classic case studies
  • Proficiency in Excel; basic knowledge of Unity/Unreal Engine is a plus
  • Strong learning agility to master project-specific design tools within one week
  • Numerical sensitivity to iteratively adjust behaviors based on test data
  • Passion for game development; prior experience in game MODs/indie projects is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing basic enemy behaviors and skill logic (movement, attacks, hit reactions, etc.)
  • Configure enemy attribute parameters and combat balance under the guidance of lead designers
  • Maintain enemy data sheets using Excel/design tools and document version updates
  • Collaborate with programmers and animators to debug and optimize enemy animation logic
  • Participate in playtests to identify and report gameplay issues (difficulty progression, combat pacing, etc.)
  • Learn game design methodologies and project development pipelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in game MODs/indie projects is preferred
