Requirements
- Valid license and current registration to practice as a Radiologic Technologist, specializing in Nuclear Medicine issued by the NYSDOH
- Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) issued by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Responsibilities
- Perform complex nuclear medicine procedures, including SPECT and PET
- Manage preparation and handling of radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring safety standards
- Implement quality control protocols for imaging equipment and practices
- Train and supervise junior technologists and students
- Identify and implement workflow enhancements
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret complex imaging data
- Engage in research projects and clinical trials
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues
- Ensure adherence to radiation safety regulations
- Lead emergency response protocols during imaging procedures
