Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of four (4) years of experience in software development in lieu of the Bachelor’s degree education
  • 2+ years of hands-on Java development in a professional or academic setting (Includes course work/internship)

Responsibilities

  • Developing products used internationally to ensure accurate processing of health care claims and improve the quality of health care
  • Working as part of a cross-functional agile team developing a mix of AWS cloud-based and on-premises applications and services
  • Building secure and innovative solutions with your knowledge of RESTful services, Java, Angular and other technologies
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and software quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Java
  • Experience in JavaScript web application development with Angular or similar technologies such as React or Vue.js
  • Experience with RESTful services and API design
  • Proficiency with object-oriented design and applying design patterns
  • Proficiency with an IDE (Eclipse, InteliJ, Visual Studio) for debugging, code completion, searching, performance, etc.
  • Proficiency with software configuration management concepts (source control, build automation)
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational database design
  • Familiarity with AWS is a plus
  • Familiarity with the Agile Scrum development methodology
  • Familiarity with health care claims processing software and/or clinical classification methodologies is highly desirable
  • Experience with Health Information Systems is a plus
  • Ability to take initiative, understand the code and suggest improvements to design that enhances the overall system performance
  • Ability to work in a team environment
