Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Two (2) years experience in the process area in which team leader position exists and working knowledge of area processes and job content.
Responsibilities
- Materials team leaders can be found on-site offering leadership skills and knowledge to team members – for activities such as cycle counts, auditing inventory and PFEP, reviewing death cards, WPO/5S issues, NCM process, insuring BOMs are correct and parts are set up and keyed correctly.
- Instruct your teams on the proper use of safety equipment and emergency procedures should they be necessary at any point during the production process.
- Responsible for meeting quality assurance standards as set by industry programs, such as ISO and Six Sigma.
- Responsible for maintaining regular communication with interrelated departments, such as procurement, operations and engineering, to plan and execute materials goals efficiently.
- Encourages team effort and supportive attitudes between workers.
- Ensures standard work is correct for job functions and team members are trained.
- Drives continuous improvement efforts including but not limited to JDI, BPS and Kaizen events.
