Requirements

  • You see the big picture and can bring it all together. This shows up in understanding: how all the departments and initiatives fit together, second order effects of how decisions in one department might impact another, the full customer life cycle, the different stages of company growth and what is needed at each step.
  • Has market and industry background to be able to share what is being done by other companies at different stages and in various market environments.
  • You’re articulate and crisp in your communication skills (verbal & written).
  • You’re a creative problem solver and no roadblock or challenge will get in your way. You work towards finding a solution.
  • Intermediate experience (not your first rodeo) in accounting, financial modeling, finance, and/or FP&A.
  • You’re motivated and ambitious. Nothing feels better than getting sh*t done.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the senior leadership team (“SLT”) to put together the quarterly and annual plan. This includes: planning for growth opportunities, resource and cost allocation, capacity planning, analyzing operating metrics and tracking the execution against company strategic initiatives.
  • Dive into all types of metrics: SaaS metrics, revenue operations metrics, customer metrics, financial metrics, benchmarks and other key performance indicators.
  • Synthesizing business analysis into SLT presentations to ensure timely communication of risk and opportunities.
  • Partner with the head of each department to drive efficiency and contribute ideas to improve customer acquisition costs and servicing costs.
  • Collaborate closely with revenue operations on data and analytics on dashboard creation, management and execution.
  • Implement / manage FP&A platform.
  • Support the accounting department and help review the financial statements, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SaaS interest (even better if you have prior experience in SaaS)
  • Prior experience in investment banking or private equity
  • Ability to use basic-level SQL/Python
  • Data visualization skills
