Requirements

  • 3–5 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency work
  • Experience recruiting software engineers and machine learning practitioners
  • Strong sourcing ability and comfort reaching out cold to passive candidates
  • You must be willing to work 5 days a week in our office in Soho (NYC) or London
  • Proficiency with modern recruiting tools (LinkedIn, Ashby, Gem, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the founders and hiring managers to deeply understand hiring needs across engineering and ML
  • Own the full-cycle recruiting process for all our hires (ML, back-end, and full-stack engineers alongside non-technical roles as necessary): sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews, extending offers, and closing candidates
  • Build and maintain a steady pipeline of top-tier talent through our investor network, sourcing strategies, passive outreach, referrals, and community engagement. You’ll set up sequences to prospect candidates, make lists of people the founders should reach out to directly, and think about how to get to the very best people in the world.
  • Be the point of contact for all candidates, ensuring a thoughtful, responsive, and values-aligned candidate experience. You’ll set the standard for excellence in our recruiting process, including getting feedback and helping us make decisions quickly.
  • Set up and continuously improve recruiting operations — from interview loops and scorecards to tooling and data tracking
  • Represent Slingshot to the external world: telling our story, pitching our vision, and building relationships with talent across NYC, London, and globally
  • Support employer branding efforts across social, events, partnerships, and our careers page
  • Identify and close process gaps before they become bottlenecks — you’ll help us scale hiring smartly and fast
