Requirements
- Must be able to read and understand a Process and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID)
- Familiar with pumps (all types), valves, RTDs, thermocouples, flowmeters, pressure transmitters, and 4-20ma / 0-10v devices and input cards
- Must understand control loops for temperature, pressure and tension control.
Responsibilities
- Designing new products and solutions using industry-standard tools such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks
- Developing algorithms for machine learning models
- Creating simulations to test out ideas before they go into production
- Troubleshooting issues on existing equipment
- Working closely with other departments like engineering, marketing, purchasing etc.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements during all stages of product development cycle
- Providing technical support throughout entire lifecycle of projects including commissioning & training when necessary
- Collaborating effectively across multiple disciplines to achieve goals efficiently
- Continuously seeking opportunities for improvement by leveraging latest advancements in technology
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for molding, assembly, and packaging equipment
- Manage electrical schematics, programming, and safety validation plans
- Lead the design and architecture of control systems, ensuring compliance with NEC, NFPA, ISO standards
- Troubleshoot and debug control systems, providing technical support for commissioning efforts
- Participate in daily direction setting meetings, department meetings, and platform-specific meetings
- Communicate effectively with technical representatives and broader teams to ensure project alignment and progress
- Support obsolescence management and update existing control systems as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- to have formulated experience with batching knowledge
- Should understand State Models, Phase Control, Equipment Modules, Control Modules, and Sequential Function Chart programming
