Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- At least one year of previous experience in à la carte serving, ideally in a restaurant with a three-diamond (AAA Diamond Rating) or higher classification (four or five diamonds)
- Three (3) years of experience in fine dining ala carte serving in a high-volume restaurant
Responsibilities
- Greet guest in a positive, friendly manner, making them feel welcome
- Provide personalized guest experiences by guiding food and beverage selections, presenting the menu, offering curated cocktail and aperitif options, recommending courses, highlighting Chef’s specialties, suggesting wine pairings, and addressing inquiries about ingredients and preparation methods.
- Communicate needs of the guest to kitchen and management, inform management of guest reaction and comments and assist management to ensure smooth operation and quality service
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
- Keep work area clean and stocked; prepare room for dining by clothing tables and setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils
