Requirements
- Graduation from accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Valid Ohio RN license
- Current AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required at the time of hire
- Certified EMT-B OR Professional Nursing Certification preferred
- ITLS or PHTLS certification required within 90 days of hire
- NRP, ATLS (audit) certification required within 1 year of hire
- CAMTS approved Nursing certification and Certified EMT-P in the State of Ohio required within 2 years of hire
- Minimum 3 years of recent, active RN experience in an Emergency Department or Critical Care setting
- If the candidate has a minimum of one year of previous experience with CareFlight Air & Mobile Services as a Paramedic, they must have an additional 4000 hours critical care experience as an RN in an ICU or an emergency department to be eligible to reapply to the program as an RN.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and rapid transport of critically ill or injured patients by air ambulance or mobile intensive care to a higher level medical treatment facility
- Provide advanced emergency/critical care during medical transport
- Provide nursing care for patients throughout Premier Health
- Engage in public relations and medical education functions
- Accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics and applicable regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Pre-hospital or critical care transport experience preferred
- Certified EMT-B OR Professional Nursing Certification preferred
