Requirements

  • Licensed Nurse – Must hold a current, unrestricted nursing license in the state of operations, maintaining certification throughout employment with Classic Air Medical Aeromedical Services, Inc.
  • Critical Care Expertise – A minimum of three years in a high-acuity critical care or emergency department setting (1,600 hours/year minimum), ensuring strong clinical judgment and advanced patient care skills.
  • Advanced Certifications – Must maintain certification in: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), An Advanced Trauma Course (ATLS, TNCC, BTLS, TNATC, or ATCN), Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), CCRN, CEN, or CFRN within one year of hire.
  • Unwavering Compliance & Integrity – Must adhere to all scope-of-practice protocols and state regulations, ensuring the highest standards of professional conduct.
  • Physical Readiness – Must weigh less than 215 pounds fully dressed at the time of hire and maintain that weight to ensure optimal safety and performance in flight operations.

  • Collaborate seamlessly with multiple agencies, emergency responders, and healthcare facilities, demonstrating diplomacy and teamwork in high-pressure situations.
  • Adhere strictly to all federal, state, and municipal regulations, including HIPAA, EMTALA, and OSHA guidelines, ensuring the highest level of safety and compliance.
  • Maintain all required certifications, continuously striving for excellence and professional growth.
  • Step up where needed, supporting the team with additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
