Requirements

  • Must be both a people and dog lover!
  • 5-8+ years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or vehicle operations, ideally in a multi-location environment.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle titling, registration, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with fleet management systems (e.g., Fleetio, Samsara) and roadside assistance programs.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to troubleshoot fleet issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to manage multiple vendors and service providers while maintaining cost-effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to work across teams and coordinate fleet logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day fleet operations, ensuring vans are properly allocated, maintained, and service-ready.
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules, ensuring all vans undergo routine check-ups and servicing.
  • Work with Groomer Operations Managers (GOMs) to minimize service disruptions and keep vehicles operational.
  • Oversee Tier 2 contractors to ensure adequate service coverage and timely van issue resolution.
  • Ensure vans maintain a clean and professional appearance, both inside and out.
  • Work cross-functionally with GOMs, groomers, and internal teams to improve mobile units for grooming operations.
  • Manage fleet reporting tools and systems, ensuring accurate data tracking for van usage, repairs, and downtime metrics.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with service vendors for repairs, maintenance, and roadside assistance.
  • Oversee van pick-ups, drop-offs, and logistics to and from repair shops.
  • Ensure service vendors meet company standards for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage titling, registration, and renewals to ensure all vans comply with state, county, and city regulations.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date records of fleet documentation, ensuring compliance with all local requirements.
