Requirements

  • High School diploma and/or GED is required.
  • 0-4 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or fleet coordination, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and tasks effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication to interact with drivers, vendors, and customers.
  • Ability to resolve issues such as equipment breakdowns or scheduling conflicts independently.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and assign shipments and loads to drivers, ensuring they have all necessary information for successful deliveries.
  • Accurately manage shipment updates, including participant notification and data entry.
  • Monitor Electronic Logging Device (ELD) data daily to ensure drivers adhere to planned hours, optimizing mileage, revenue, and on-time performance.
  • Arrange for truck service and replacement in case of breakdowns to minimize operational disruptions. Update the Driver Performance Record Program to document and address all service issues.
  • Schedule driver ‘home time’ to balance fleet productivity and revenue generation without compromising operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with drivers to ensure they are available to cover a minimum of 9,500 miles per month.
  • Verify the submission and accuracy of all driver paperwork.
  • Schedule and oversee driver inspections to maintain compliance and safety standards.
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and comprehensive reports to management as required.
  • Coordinate random drug tests for drivers in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Oversee the T-check process, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
