Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with cloud cost management principles and practices (FinOps Foundation certification a plus)
- Experience working in SRE or DevOps role in some sort of capacity
- Experience in Coding (Python, Go, Terraform)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in data
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency in cloud billing tools (e.g., Cost Explorer, BigQuery, Looker)
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) GCP preferred
Responsibilities
- Analyze cloud cost data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for optimization
- Develop and implement cost optimization strategies, including rightsizing resources, leveraging reserved instances, and automating cost controls
- Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to promote cost awareness and accountability
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports to track cloud spending and identify cost savings
- Stay up-to-date on the latest FinOps best practices and cloud billing tools
- Participate in the development and implementation of FinOps policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- FinOps Foundation certification a plus
