Requirements
- BS or BA in accounting
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and general ledger software
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse work group
- Ability to work in cross functional teams
- Strong critical thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Record and analyze financial transactions on both a U.S. GAAP and Statutory basis
- Assist in preparing various reporting deliverables
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Prepare wires and any accompanying journal entries
- Handle reinsurance accounting and reporting
- Support businesses and functional areas, including our life insurance actuarial team, on questions and issues to drive enhanced collaboration
- Cross-train to enhance professional development and enrich the work environment
- Work on special projects as necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed CPA
- Insurance or financial services experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Experience recording financial transactions in Oracle general ledger system
