Responsibilities
- Develop long-term and near-term financial plans, partnering with relevant functional areas to articulate business priorities and financial plans to execute against those priorities.
- Deliver accurate financial reporting metrics by analyzing financial data, performing complex data entry, verifying accuracy and collaborating with senior leadership as needed.
- Assist Finance Business Partners in developing and executing strategies to help achieve the goals and objectives of the departments/towers.
- Prepare and maintain the budgeting and forecasting tool for assigned line(s) of business.
- Implement KPI and dashboard reporting suites and provide insightful analysis for management.
- Prepare regular reports, recommendations, and interpretations to the leadership group based on financial and operating data and variances in the budget.
- Ensure compliance with existing policies, procedures and relevant regulations/legislations.
- Maintain an efficient, effective and comprehensive process for developing financial plans and analysis that links to the strategic objectives.
- Assist in the financial analysis of feasibility of projects as well as benefits realized from key initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience in an accounting/planning and analysis role, with preference for MI system implementation.
- Exposure to insurance business and regional roles.
- Experience in the insurance industry, with exposure to AIFRS being advantageous.
- Preference for work experience in consulting and/or financial planning and analysis, as well as in a shared service environment.
- Professional experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) within a finance role, with increasing levels of responsibility.
