Requirements
- 2+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, investment banking, or a similarly rigorous analytical role
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar business field
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze data trends, draw conclusions and create presentable, understandable reports to senior management
- Strong verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills
- Process and detail oriented; always looking for ways to improve processes
- Intellectual curiosity
- Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Assist with earnings preparation (including consolidated NOI growth and Q&A for the earnings call), Monthly Business Reviews, investor relations requests and other management and external reporting.
- Analyze monthly and quarterly capital expenditure results as part of the financial review and earnings processes. Aggregate and report on any forecast changes for future capital commitments.
- Engage with the Asset Management and Investments teams on their capital budgets/forecasts, reporting & tracking vs. actual spend; help management understand the key risks and opportunities to staying within published guidance.
- Collaborate with multiple functions throughout the organization, including Accounting, Construction & Development and IT, in order to prepare information for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Provide overall analytic support as needed to Asset Management teams and senior management on key strategic initiatives and ad hoc requests.
