Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred. CPA or MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of financial or accounting experience
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with business partners, and other finance peers
  • Proven track record of improving processes via a continuous improvement mindset
  • Intermediate Excel, PowerPoint and TM1 (or other enterprise reporting software) skills
  • Self-motivated, performance driven, and detail oriented; ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven and multi-tasking environment; ability to lead through influencing.
  • Experience and/or desire to learn about use of artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business partners to develop 3-year forecasts for gross premiums, ceded premiums, commissions, taxes, and expense through effective partnerships with business leaders and other support departments (Expense, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Data Science)
  • Provide analytical support and financial guidance to business partners to improve and influence the decision-making process and to achieve operating plans/targets (Revenue growth, Earnings, ROE and other key metrics)
  • Analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date financial results, providing variance analysis vs. Budget and Prior Year, monitoring business trends and highlighting any risks/opportunities
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and day-to-day support to senior analysts, fostering development and promoting a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Support production and review of Consolidated reporting packages and exhibits for Global Specialty Segment (Actuals and Forecast)
  • Drive continuous improvement in management reporting, metrics and forecasting, with a mindset for developing more predictive and prescriptive analytics while automating or eliminating low value activities.
  • Develop strong working relationships throughout the Global Specialty and Finance organizations; recommend solutions and help guide development and execution of the Global Specialty strategy.
  • Engage in ad-hoc analysis and special projects as directed by CFO, the business and other management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or MBA a plus
