Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce majoring in Accounting or equivalent
- University Certificates leading to a bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA Designation (considered an asset)
- Experience working for large corporations
- Minimum 2-3 years related experience
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Bilingual (French & English) is an asset
- Technical proficiency in accounting/IFRS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Detail-orientation is essential
- Able to perform in a fast-paced environment while staying focused on the result

Responsibilities
- Perform month end activities
- Analyze monthly variances between current and prior year actuals
- Identify any risks or opportunities resulting from above and provide recommendations
- Perform assigned balance sheet and general ledger accounts reconciliation
- Perform assigned balance sheet variance analysis
- Prepare periodic reports for management as requested
- Assist in Budget and Forecast process
- Assist in audit (year-end and interim external audit and internal audit)
- Apply IFRS rules and ensure compliance of internal controls
- Participate and ensure compliance in the annual inventory count, which normally takes place at a different city from the home office
- Resolve any discrepancies or irregularities found in records, statements, or documented transactions
- Participate in special projects (ERP implementation, Strategic initiatives, Continuous Improvement)
- Any other work, duties, projects or ad hoc requests as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
