Requirements

  • 10+ years of public accounting, private equity fund accounting, or private equity fund operations experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organized
  • Possesses a strong work ethic, professional integrity, and a positive attitude
  • Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple projects

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with Tax and the Fund Accounting team on transaction accounting; oversee quarterly production of SPV financial statements and trial balances / NAV packs
  • Support fund level operating activities including credit facility reports and preparation of quarterly compliance certificates
  • Work with Legal and Compliance team to ensure compliance with various fund policies and procedures including LPA limitations, side-letter agreements, and deal certificates
  • Prepare fund and investment specific regulatory filings
  • Plan, prepare and manage LP distribution process including coordination with deal teams and preparation of LP memos
  • Prepare internal reporting for Real Estate COO & CFO on fund metrics; provide analysis and recommend actions
  • Oversee entity and expense management, inclusive of fund and entity dissolution processes
  • Responsible for the oversight of prompt responses to internal requests, investor requests, auditor requests, and ad hoc projects by the team
  • Oversee BREP’s public operations including FMV calculations, custody management, and proxy voting
  • Manage, train and develop staff both in the U.S. and India to assist with accounting and operational work
  • Coordinate the testing and implementation of initiatives to improve and streamline fund operations functions
