Requirements
- B.A. (or equivalent degree) – a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experience
- Typically, 8+ years of progressive aviation experience, which includes 4+ years of management experience
- Experience with the practical application of aviation safety standards and safe operating practices
- Progressive experience with Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service
- Ability to understand and execute contract documents such as Performance Work Statement (PWS)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Current active CBP Background Investigation Required
- The ability to obtain/maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Responsibilities
- Manage site operations in a safe and effective manner ensuring mission objectives and contract metrics are met.
- Interfaces with the Company’s Program Manager and Government CBP Management and Flight personnel.
- The Site Manager provides on-site management and oversight of the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) contract at Field Site. Position is the company senior representative at the field site
- Overall responsible for coordinating and executing the tasks as outlined by CBP
- Point of contact with the Government Project Officer (PO)/ Contract Officer Representative (COR) at their site.
- Provide leadership and project direction. Manage and direct operations associated with CBP P-3 Maintenance, Supply (Logistics), Production Control, and Quality Assurance/Control.
- Directs completion of assigned tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints. Schedules and assigns duties to subordinates and subcontractors.
- Ensures assignments are completed as directed and to standard.
- Enforces work standards and reviews/resolves work discrepancies to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Participates in Program Management Reviews (PMRs) between the contractor and the CBP Customer.
- Conducts business practices to ensure both government and contractor requirements are met.
- Supervises and manages the daily activities of configuration and operation of logistical business/computer systems.
- Optimizes planning, operations, and resources to ensure maximum capability is attained.
- Coordinates support with Other Government Agencies (NASA/NOAA) as required
- Performs staffing requirements in right sizing as directed.
- Responsible for Facilities security and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) Designation
- Understanding of FAA regulations, policies, and procedures
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
