Requirements

  • Experience in heavy rotating oil lubricated machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret assembly and machining drawings.
  • Knowledge and experience using tooling, machining, and measurement devices.
  • Ability to technically troubleshoot complex rotating machinery.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to navigate and generate complex Word and Excel reports.
  • Ability to support overtime and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Provide field service technical direction in support of US Navy aircraft carrier, submarine, and other support vessels.
  • Provide engineering oversight to key clients throughout the disassembly, inspection, complex report writing, repairs, reassembly, and testing of related equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or equivalent and/or 10+ years experience in the related field.
  • Shipboard construction environment experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with maintenance overhaul activity on complex rotating machinery, preferably steam turbine experience.
