Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or other university-level degrees within the science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology) are highly preferred.
- At least 1-2+ years of relevant experience working with analytical instrumentation, ideally including repair, maintenance, and/or troubleshooting.
- Experience or expertise with Chromatography (GC) and Mass Spectrometry (GCMS).
- Ability to solve high-impact problems related to product availability; typically system/solution-focused.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer relationship-building skills are essential.
- The position requires an active driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Supporting customers with on-site installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of Agilent GC and GCMS systems.
- Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites.
- Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems.
- Performs maintenance and repairs.
- Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance.
- Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers’ business.
- Delivers fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.
- Trains other field engineers and customers in the solutions.
