Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 1+ years experience formally or informally leading people, projects and/or programs for entry to this level; 5+ years people management experience preferred.
- Background in a science-based Industry, within research or clinical environment, with focus on customer facing service delivery.
- Can demonstrate a commitment to industry accepted project management processes, practices, tools, and behaviors with a proven track record of project participation or management.
- Experience leading customer facing field projects from pricing through delivery, leading all aspects including budget.
- Ability to set expectations goals and objectives, monitor and review project deliverables, and experience delivering performance reviews required.
- Lead performance improvement and corrective action of employees where necessary.
- Develop and maintain processes and procedures with approvals from next level manager.
- Background and history of training curriculum development and delivery, as well as mentoring of new employees.
- Detail oriented and ability to multitask.
- Must be able to remain mobile for up to 8 hours, with short breaks as required by law. Must be able to perform activities such as bending, stooping and kneeling. This includes extended periods of walking, climbing stairs and may require some light lifting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage with sales, service, support and all levels of management as well as external customers.
- Strong project management and leadership skills, including the ability to oversee and mentor project managers.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to change, capable of making critical trade-offs when necessary to meet timelines, project requirements, or departmental needs.
- Effectively collaborates with diverse teams, demonstrating the ability to make necessary adjustments in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Field Relocation Project Managers, through development and delivery of large integrated customer solutions, by redefining broad concepts into structured programs.
- Lead the Project Managers during the design of multi-national/multi-partner projects, delivering solutions for sophisticated, high impact issues, and building effective client relationships.
- Assist with determining overall project plan, budget, structure, schedule, and staffing requirements.
- Mentor project managers to support external customers in the definition and implementation of complex integrated solutions requiring CrossLab services.
- Review the pricing of customized solutions and ensure implementation or delivery within specified goals.
- Build and maintain employee relationships while coordinating internal and external teams.
- Maintain all data and reports, as well as share project status and reports with internal and external stakeholders.
- Have direct management of field project managers.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years people management experience preferred.
