Requirements
- A Degree in Anthropology (with a focus in archaeology) or in Archaeology preferred
- 0-3 years of archaeological survey and impact assessment experience
- Applicants enrolled in a degree granting university who have completed a field school in archaeology are encouraged to apply
- Prior archaeological field school experience a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain
- Working knowledge of archaeological survey and impact assessment protocols
- Ability to work 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation
- Ability to work in the field for extended periods of time
Responsibilities
- Oversee field studies, lead field reconnaissance, field surveys, and excavation for archaeological studies
- Visually inspecting the land surface for presence of archaeological and historic built resources
- Compliance with corporate Health and Safety requirements
- Performing other duties as assigned or required
- Represent ERM through communications and at meetings with provincial/territorial and federal agencies
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior archaeological field school experience a plus
