Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication is required.
  • Technical expertise in MPU, MCU, Solutions, Software, cellular and communication technologies, both at chip (CoB) and module level.
  • Understanding of AI applications that drive use cases on Edge Intelligence.
  • Thorough understanding of Developer world and Industry best practices for engaging with Developers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical enablement to support Distribution FAE/AE and Sales in launching new products and resolving customer issues related to Qualcomm platform designs.
  • Develop ecosystem partner strategies aligned with distribution partners to create complementary solutions.
  • Develop certification programs for FAEs.
  • Organize and conduct Tech days, hands-on training sessions, and demonstrations for distribution partners and customers, as needed.
  • Responsible for creating and operationalizing the Training Calendar.
  • Deliver comprehensive Qualcomm product training sessions to distribution FAE, AE, and Sales teams, supported by the Customer Engineering (CE) team.
  • Conduct competitive product analysis and author white papers to highlight the advantages of Qualcomm products, supporting distribution efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Business Unit to develop solution architectures for key applications.
  • Responsible to maintain and provide exhaustive market intelligence on competition.
  • Support evaluation of opportunities with distribution partners, on technical aspects to win.
  • Engage with the Business Unit on roadmap inputs, technical documentation, new product launches, training for distribution resources, and provide feedback on existing products.
  • Collaborate with internal and external sales and marketing teams to support lead generation activities.
  • Closely works with Developers to promote awareness of focus segments, applications, successful projects, and cross-regional success stories.
  • Achieve proficiency in using internal sales tools (CRM, social media, and other engagement platforms) to remain organized, optimize partner interactions, and routinely report on key performance metrics.
  • Key KPI is to drive better conversion of opportunities, through Technical guidance and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively, teaming with the Customer Engineering team, for supporting Disti Partners.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Global experience is preferred.
  • More than seven years of experience in a Design Engineer/Field Application Engineer (FAE) role within the semiconductor industry working at a Semiconductor OEM or at a leading Distributor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive field application experience, with the ability to deliver compelling value propositions to customers based on the Qualcomm product portfolio to secure design wins.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Creative problem-solving skills combined with strong technical and analytical acumen.
  • Proficient in delivering technical training sessions to large groups.
  • Preferred candidates from: Intel, NXP, TI, AMD (Xilinx), NVIDIA etc. working in distribution will be an added advantage. Distributors-Global or local. Module makers.
