Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Preferred in healthcare, engineering, business, or a related field.
  • Graduate degree in public health, healthcare administration, business, health economics & outcomes research, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in health economics, reimbursement, or market access within the medical device/biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of US healthcare systems, including healthcare financing and reimbursement policies.
  • Proven track record of facility- and surgeon-facing engagement, along with sales education & support.
  • Customer-facing experience with leading clinical experts, required.
  • Experience in women’s health, biologics/tissue, breast cancer surgery, and/or plastic and reconstructive surgery, preferred.
  • Orientation towards delivering on goals and being part of a fast-moving collaborative team.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management.
  • Proven track record of working cross-functionally within a commercial organization.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary field-based resource for access and reimbursement issues related to Breast neurotization procedures.
  • Collaborate with hospitals and clinic staff to address coverage and access concerns, including case management for complex reimbursement scenarios.
  • Educate and train the field sales organization on reimbursement (coding, coverage, and payment).
  • Develops best practices at facilities and develop ways to share insights with healthcare providers, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Creates the development of access and reimbursement tools, resources, and materials tailored for Breast neurotization procedures.
  • Collaborate with sales specialists and leadership to identify target facilities & surgeons.
  • Represent Axogen at industry conferences and education events.
  • Build, educate, and activate KOL surgeons to resolve access and reimbursement issues.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in healthcare reimbursement and policy, advising Axogen on potential impacts to business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to reimbursement programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in women’s health, biologics/tissue, breast cancer surgery, and/or plastic and reconstructive surgery, preferred.
