Requirements

  • High School Diploma, Trade School certifications or equivalent; (i.e., Registered apprenticeship or registered trade license in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, Pipefitter, Wastewater, Steam Engineering, Marine Engineering) and/or years of field experience in general industry will be considered.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience.
  • Occasionally moves equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility using various body positions.
  • Able to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection.

Responsibilities

  • Support & improve all facility maintenance efforts including preventive/predictive maintenance efforts, repairs, troubleshooting & new equipment installation.
  • Perform routine inspections of mechanical spaces to ensure all equipment is operating correctly. Check for any signs of wear, leaks, or other issues that could lead to equipment failure.
  • Respond promptly to temperature adjustment requests from occupants.
  • Ensure HVAC systems are functioning correctly to maintain comfortable temperatures.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of the facility to identify and address any maintenance issues.
  • Provide support for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) issues outside of regular hours as needed.
  • Address urgent maintenance needs in patient rooms and common areas, such as plumbing repairs, temperature adjustments, and ceiling leaks.
  • Handle all plumbing-related maintenance and repairs, including toilets, sinks, and piping systems. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all plumbing work.
  • Participate in the emergency response team, following established protocols, respond to facility emergencies efficiently & effectively.
  • Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity and reliability of equipment.
  • Document all PM activities and findings.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the on-call plumber or electrician as necessary. Ensure timely and appropriate resolution of escalated issues.
  • Assist with Building Automation System (BAS) checks on a regular basis to ensure an optimal work environment.
  • Perform corrective & preventative maintenance on systems & equipment.
  • Operate, monitor & control equipment, systems & processes assigned for HVAC, RODI, and fire pump systems.
  • Review SOPs & PMs documentation & others as required.
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties.
