Requirements
- Typically requires 1+ years of related experience.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor under stressful conditions.
- Valid driver’s license, if applicable.
- Good verbal, written and organizational skills.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical and HVAC.
- Basic knowledge of materials, methods and tools used in construction trades.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment such as fork lifts, man lift, jack hammer, etc.
- Must have demonstrated ability to get along with others and to follow instructions carefully.
Responsibilities
- Assists in maintaining facility management system (FMS) data base
- Communicates pertinent information to supervisory personnel regarding safety hazards, damages, repairs, etc.
- Maintains tools and equipment in good working order; makes minor adjustments and repairs as necessary.
- Notifies appropriate person(s) when service or parts are needed for tool or equipment.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly; follows prescribed safety regulations; uses safety equipment as required.
- May drive company vehicle, if applicable.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
