Requirements
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access.
- Experience and knowledge of building management systems.
- Ability to read blueprints.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and reconfigure equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure the optimal utilization of the organization’s facilities.
- Assess and evaluate the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs.
- Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
- Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
- Ensure proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.
- Conduct machine inventories and arrange disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required equipment.
- Manage facilities contractor management process.
- Supervise employees and/or outside contractors, who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings and equipment via one or more of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air conditioning, heating, painting and/or general maintenance, including custodial & grounds.
- Provide on and off-site direction to technicians during regular and off-hours as needed.
- Manage all work assignments in a safe and professional manner.
- Able to work extended hours and overtime to support building and customer needs; nights weekends and on call as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to prioritize tasks to provide a safe productive work environment to the building occupants
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and be capable of communicating with customers in a professional office setting, both orally and in writing
- Solid computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office
