Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) access.
  • Experience and knowledge of building management systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and reconfigure equipment, machinery, buildings, and structures to ensure the optimal utilization of the organization’s facilities.
  • Assess and evaluate the physical space requirements of the organization and recommends plans to meet needs.
  • Gather and review data concerning facility or equipment specifications, company or government restrictions, required completion date, and construction feasibility.
  • Review and estimate design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
  • Ensure proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance.
  • Conduct machine inventories and arrange disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required equipment.
  • Manage facilities contractor management process.
  • Supervise employees and/or outside contractors, who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings and equipment via one or more of the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air conditioning, heating, painting and/or general maintenance, including custodial & grounds.
  • Provide on and off-site direction to technicians during regular and off-hours as needed.
  • Manage all work assignments in a safe and professional manner.
  • Able to work extended hours and overtime to support building and customer needs; nights weekends and on call as needed.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks to provide a safe productive work environment to the building occupants
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and be capable of communicating with customers in a professional office setting, both orally and in writing
  • Solid computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft office
