Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Required; 2-year technical degree / certification or equivalent military experience preferred.
- A Valid US Driver’s license is required.
- 2+ years of progressive responsibility and related experience working in an industrial setting.
- Requires the ability to read facility utility equipment manuals.
- Use of computerized building management system / SCADA to maintain and troubleshoot facility equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and effectively resolve complex equipment malfunctions on plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, chillers, fire system and other types of facility equipment.
- Advanced understanding of equipment/systems and in the diagnosis and repair of electrical and mechanical problems.
- Document clearly (verbal and written) and ability to work from verbal and written instructions, manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, piping and instrument diagrams, work orders and specification.
- Demonstrated experience of working independently.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and operate HVAC equipment, hydronic systems including chilled, heating, heat recovery, and wastewater systems, compressed air, medium voltage electrical distribution, and various exhaust systems on the Facility Management Control System (FMCS/SCADA).
- Proficiency with computers and software including Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Provide support for new equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and sustaining operations.
- Perform routine operator rounds of equipment and systems and provide first response as well as root cause analysis of system issues.
- Troubleshoot system parameters that fall outside of normal operating range.
- Utilize control systems to monitor equipment within the factory and analyze trend data.
- Must be able to work safely, use all personal protective equipment as required by OSHA and job requirements.
- Improve the reliability of equipment and systems through collaboration with teammates and facilities engineers.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-year technical degree / certification or equivalent military experience preferred.
