Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience (including managerial)
  • Professional work experience in a mix of the following: High-caliber consulting – familiarity with practices and techniques of consulting such as project management and content development; Private sector – experience with a multi-national private sector firm, in particular in a role related to strategy and/or geopolitics; Public sector – experience with public sector entities at a regional or national level in a foreign policy or geopolitical context
  • Expertise in at least one of the following areas: US Policy Expertise (esp. non-tariff measures e.g. Import-Export controls); Geopolitical Risk Assessment & Analysis; Geopolitical Scenario Planning & Strategic Planning; Geopolitical Business Unit Set-up
  • MBA or Master’s degree from a top tier institution with a strong academic record
  • Excellent track record of project/team leadership and stakeholder management
  • Client service orientation, including commercial capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Take leadership in project execution role, managing teams of BCG consultants and experts, as well as members of BCG’s Vantage (formerly Knowledge) Teams, as required
  • Build BCG’s intellectual capital on the topic of geopolitics with a particular focus on the relevant geographies. This activity may involve contributing to BCG’s Centre for Geopolitics, leading internal BCG teams in ‘Tier-1’ research programs, as well as preparing and writing articles for publication. Public Speaking and Media events may also be undertaken, pending relevant approvals from within BCG
  • Work with BCG partners and teams in identifying priority geopolitical trends, sectors, and prospective clients
  • Lead and support sales development activities by preparing proposal documents and participating in proposal meetings with clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intercultural competence and experience working in more than one country or with multi-cultural teams would be a strong plus
