Experienced Hazard Analyst

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering or process safety field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience leading hazard analyses of varying types such as Hazard and Operability Study (HAZOP), What-if Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong knowledge of hazard analysis standards and best practices, including OSHA 1910.119, Process Safety Management; ANSI/AIChE RP 75, Guidelines for Hazard Evaluation Procedures; ANIS/ISA/IEC 61511, Functional Safety: Safety Instrumented Systems for the Process Industry Sector; and MIL-STD-882, Department of Defense Standard Practice System Safety
Excellent communication and meeting facilitation skills
Have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance

Schedule and prepare for hazard analysis meetings
Facilitate hazard analysis meetings with cross-functional teams of project stakeholders to offer expertise while ensuring productivity, structure, and focus
Analyze process, equipment, and facility designs and procedures of varying maturity to identify and assess potential hazards and recommend hazard mitigation strategies
Document findings in hazard worksheets, memoranda, reports, or other types of documentation
Assist with tracking and implementing hazard mitigation strategies
